DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Please join the entire Board of Collective Bargaining, the staff of OCB, and the parties we serve, in extending our congratulations and gratitude to George Nicolau, who has completed 20 years of distinguished service as a neutral member of the Board of Collective Bargaining and Board of Certification. Mr. Nicolau is a past president of the National Academy of Arbitrators. He has served as Impartial Chairman for Major League Baseball, held similar positions for basketball, hockey and soccer, is System Board Chair for a number of airlines and their pilots, flight attendants and ground personnel, and serves as the Industry Chair for the League of Voluntary Hospitals and 1199, SEIU. We are privileged to have benefitted from Mr. Nicolau's vast experience, wisdom and expertise and honored to have someone of his stature on our Board.
This year also marks the 40th anniversary of both the Taylor Law and the New York City Collective Bargaining Law. We are delighted to be a co-sponsor of a statewide conference commemorating the Taylor Law anniversary on May 15 and 16th at the Desmond Hotel in Albany. Please hold these dates for what promises to be a very informative program.
To assist our practioners, we have added a link to our Representation Docket, which can be found by clicking on Practicing Before OCB . This resource gives notice to employees, practitioners, and the public of the representation cases currently pending before the Board of Certification and the titles at issue. Also, please turn to our Agency News page for important information on our new decision citation format.
